“Droom vir Outjo” Project 2012 winners receive their prizes

Outjo, 9 November 2012 – The Nexus Group took part in the annual schools competition organised by the “Droom vir Outjo” Project, a community initiative that promotes community pride among the Outjo residents. The “Droom vir Outjo” Project aims to revive and clean‐up the northern Namibian town which had fallen into disrepair after many years of neglect, and to make it more presentable to tourists who pass through on their way to or from the Etosha National Park.

The “Droom vir Outjo” Project initiated a competition for local schools to take part in that encouraged the schools to keep their premises clean and litter free. The incentive for the competition was to involve children of school‐going age to keep their schools clean and neat for the year, with the aim of winning the first prize of N$ 10,000.00, or a second prize of N$ 5,000.00 for their school to use for much needed maintenance and repairs.
