Personality of the Week: Kelly Nghixulifwa

Kelly I.S Nghixulifwa is the Executive director of Nexus Group and also the chairman of Namibian Professional Boxing Control Board.
He is Energy 100FM's Personality of the week.

He was born in 1957 in Ohangwena region and was raised by his grandparents. Growing up as a young boy Kelly herded cattle and went to school at Ongenga.

After school he furthered his studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

His first job was at Namdeb when he started out as a Junior Engineer in 1988, and later progressed to the position of Senior Engineer before leaving Namdeb in 1996 and joined a Cement Factory in Otjiwarongo where he worked as Works Manager for 2 years before moving to Windhoek and joined Nampower as Manager of Van Eck and Ruacana Power Station.
Kelly Nghixulifwa later became the General Manager of Generation at Nampower.

Roads Construction Company (RCC) was Kelly's next stop :-) He became RCC's CEO and worked at RCC for 4 years.

But all his vast working experience and knowledge didn't stop Kelly there, his hardworking and dedicated personality took him as far as starting his own business which enabled him to acquire shareholding and directorship in Nexus Group of Companies.

HIS BEST MOMENT IN LIFE:
When he was appointed as CEO of Roads Construction Company(RCC)

WHAT INSPIRES KELLY:
He's inspired by the urge to succeed. He calls himself a workaholic and says he works alot, that he loves working and loves succeeding- He doesn't want to fail.

Kelly Nghixulifwa's father was also of great inspiration to Kelly, he inspired Kelly to succeed. Sharing a fond memory of his late father as being of great inspiration to him, Kelly says his father was proud of him and that he never felt of letting his father down.

KELLY'S ULTIMATE WISH IN LIFE:
Is to become a successful businessman although people say that he's already successful. He also wishes to become someone who can be looked up to by the youth. He wants to contribute towards nation-building and youth development.

HIS HOBBIES:
He loves sports. Boxing probably tops his list :-) because his love thereof is evident: Kelly is the chairman of the Namibian Professional Boxing Control Board.
Soccer is another sport that Kelly loves and like most adrenaline rush fanatics, Kelly loves Formula 1. Vroom Vroom :-)

KELLY I.S NGHIXULIFWA WANTS TO BE REMEMBERED AS:
Someone who was exemplary, especially in working hard in acquiring what he got. He also wants to be remembered as someone who was honest and as someone who didn't beat around the bush.
